Welch Packaging, a family-owned manufacturer of custom corrugated packaging, has launched a corrugator startup in Wooster, Ohio. In an effort to better serve local customers, the new facility, OHCorr, will expand the company’s sheet feeder system and overall supply chain capabilities.

Welch Packaging operates a network of corrugated sheet plants supported by its own sheet feeders. Located between Toledo, Cleveland, Ashtabula, Cincinnati, and Columbus, the company has positioned OHCorr in the strategic location of Wooster, OH to produce corrugated sheets for its existing box plants. This new facility is a part of Wooster’s Innovation Park, located in a 200,000 sq. ft. area of the Wooster Brush Company’s North Building. OHCorr is expected to add capacity and capability to the Welch system and reduce overall freight cost; thus, improving the experience for local Welch customers.

“Our goal is to provide our customers with the Ultimate Corrugated Experience, and our new OHCorr corrugator will support our already strong position in the market,” stated CEO and president Scott Welch.  “Consistent quality, proprietary board grades, and a dedicated supply chain are all elements of this start-up that will allow us to serve our customers better,” continued Welch.
