BOBST continues to expand its global presence to ensure the company can serve its customers in every major region of the world. The latest addition to BOBST’s global network is a brand-new R&D and manufacturing site in South Korea, which opened its doors in July 2024.

The new manufacturing site will produce machines for the corrugated board industry by introducing two new products – the NOVAFFG and VISIONFFG – and by re-entering the large-size applications market with the JUMBO, increasingly in high demand.

Asia is a region in the midst of a packaging boom. A recent report forecasts almost 4.0% growth by 2027, making Asia a major global packaging industry hub in the years to come. The new BOBST site, located in the southern city of Busan in South Korea, will not only help to ensure BOBST can provide an optimized, hands-on service for its customers in South Korea and the surrounding region, but will also serve customers worldwide.

“At BOBST, we pride ourselves in providing the best possible customer experience and part of that is ensured through proximity to our customers,” said Jean-Pascal Bobst, CEO of BOBST. “The new site in South Korea marks a significant milestone for our company and underscores our dedicated effort to serve our customers across Asia, advancing our goal of positioning the Group as a leader in this region.”

The launch event took place on 9 July 2024 and featured Jean-Pascal Bobst; Alain Berger, Head of Business Unit Printing & Converting; and Maxime Bobst, Post-merger integration manager, who were all welcomed by Mr. Chae, General Manager of Bobst Korea and his team for a tour of the newly built factor
