The 11th edition of India Corr Expo and India Folding Carton, along with the inaugural India Paper Expo, successfully concluded at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai,
drawing over 10,000 visitors and more than 250 exhibitors. This event showcased the latest innovations and trends in corrugated packaging, folding cartons, and paper solutions, reinforcing India’s position as a leader in the global corrugated packaging industry.
This year’s Expo served as a hub for the latest technologies and solutions, with live machinery demonstrations, product launches and participation from renowned industry leaders such as BHS Corrugated India, Bobst India, and EMBA Machinery. The event brought together a diverse mix of manufacturers, consultants, package converters, paper mills, and key associations, all exploring the future of the packaging industry in India.
The ICCMA Congress 2024, held in conjunction with IndiaCorr, focused on “Unboxing Corrugation 3.0: Transitioning to a New Era,” where experts delved into the sector’s transformative potential.
At the Congress, Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India emphasized the importance of building a skilled workforce to meet the growing demands of the corrugated packaging industry, which is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8-9%, reaching $50 billion by 2025.
Speaking at the event, Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India said, “As the corrugated packaging industry scales rapidly, driven by growth across FMCG, e-commerce, and pharmaceuticals, the need for a highly skilled workforce becomes critical. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with ICCMA and Sector Skill Councils, is dedicated to developing specialized training modules aligned with global standards. These initiatives will ensure our workforce is future-ready, supporting the industry’s evolution and helping India maintain its competitive edge.”
