Partnerships built on trust and shared creativity lead to extraordinary outcomes. This year, we are proud to continue our collaboration with Roshen, one of the world’s leading confectioners, to develop an enchanting new packaging concept for their Christmas and New Year campaign.

Roshen has long relied on our team of Packaging Development Experts to create unique an innovative packaging for their seasonal product lines. This year’s design brings magic to life with a box that features a cover with cut-out stars. When a phone’s flashlight is placed underneath, the cover transforms into a projector, casting a stunning starry sky onto the walls and ceiling.

Utilizing the right packaging materials

This imaginative packaging solution is crafted using Performa Light – Stora Enso’s lightest GC2 folding carton known for its exceptional whiteness and smoothness. The material’s light weight is achieved with Fiber Light Tec™, an innovative technology that uses micro fibrillated cellulose (MFC) to reduce energy and raw material in production. By utilizing Performa Light, we ensured the design met both aesthetic and structural requirements while maintaining a low weight.

Innovative design features

Adding to the innovation, the packaging features a new lock mechanism ideated by August Salo, our talented structural designer, ensuring both functionality and user convenience. Commenting on the collaboration with Roshen, August said: “Roshen projects are always a creative celebration of holiday spirit and packaging design. As a designer I enjoy exploring structures that can provide memorable user experiences – what a great way to start the holiday season, seeing one on store shelves.”
