Tirupur, September 29: The South India Corrugated Box Manufacturers Association, Coimbatore chapter has announced a 15% increase in the price of cardboard boxes. This decision comes in response to a series of kraft paper price hikes, which have risen three times over the past month, reaching up to ₹3,000 per tonne.
During the association’s recent council meeting in Tirupur, President R. Sivakumar was re-elected. The meeting also addressed the significant rise in electricity costs affecting the manufacturing sector. In light of these challenges, members resolved to implement the price increase and urged customers to cooperate with this necessary adjustment.
Executives and members of the South India Corrugated Box Manufacturers Association attended the meeting, underscoring the industry’s commitment to adapting to rising costs while maintaining quality service.
